Milestones and Injuries
Appalachian Trail, Pennsylvania - Mile 102 - May 2nd, 2018
Hi everyone. As some of you already know I had to come of the trail earlier than anticipated. A couple days into my hike I slipped on a boulder and banged one of my legs up pretty well. I hoped the injury was minor and the pain would subside quickly, but after three more days of hiking my injury was becoming aggravated and the only way to heal and prevent further damage was to rest. Needless to say I am a bit disappointed but still proud of the progress I’ve made so far. In total I have hiked 102.2 miles which means we have already raised $1,427!
My next trip is planned for Memorial Day weekend. I’m not intending to push the limits of how far I can hike, my brother in law will be joining me for a few days and we plan on enjoying ourselves at a more leisurely pace.
Until then, thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery are appreciated.
Happy Trails,
Tim
